"Paranorman" Movie Review ( A Favorite)

PARANORMAN

"An Animated Thrill ride of EPIC Proportions!"

"Ghoulish fun for the whole family!"

From the film makers of 'Caroline' Comes the story of Norman, a boy who must use his ability to see and speak with the dead to save his town from centuries-old curse.

In addition to spooky Zombies, he'll also have to take on mysterious ghosts, wily witches, and worst of all, clueless grown-ups.  But this young ghoul whisperer will soon find his paranormal abilities pushed to their other-worldly limits. Featuring the voices of Kodi Smit-McPhee, Anna Kendick, Casey Affleck, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Leslie Mann, Jeff Garlin and John Goodman, it's frightfully funny and magically thrilling for the whole family in eye-popping stop-motion.

This is a Boy different from others... obsessed with zombies - sees and talks to the ghosts of dead people... destined to bring down a witch of the years past that was hanged by the town council and she  comes back once a year to raise the dead and raise havoc in his town.
But there is a good story behind it and  a few good lessons to be learned. One being not to be so quick to judge someone or not like someone just because you don't understand them or how they are different from you. It can cause more hurt than you may think.
But besides that it had me and my whole family cracking up over and over watching Norman go through the ups and owns of his family thinking he is crazy, a snobby teenage sister, bullies at school, a dork he befreinds, all while running form the zombies  ( and I can't leave out the Uncle! He is the icing on this zombie cake! You will know what I am talking about if you watch this for yourself). We have watched I bet 20 times or more and it's just as funny every time.
You need to get this movie .. kids - adults - everyone will crack up and be touched all at the same time.

NAUGHTY BEAR DOUBLE TROUBLE PS3 GAME (with VIDEO)

I got this Naughty Bear PS3 game for Christmas and I have been really liking it. It is something totally different from any other game I have.  There is all kinds of stuff to do on each board and it gets my adrenaline pumping sneaking around this Bear town hiding form all the others, waiting for my kill until I have took down the whole town!

"When other bears had a party, Naughty Bear wasn't invited. Scorned for the last time Naughty Bear is exacting his revenge... now they will pay... with their lives...   Filled with tons of mischief and over-the-top cartoon violence, the one-of-a-kind adventure game is hours of fun for gamers of all levels."

BONUS CONTENT:
~Panic in Paradise Included
~3 New episodes
~3 New weapons and kills
~12 new costumes
~4 new MULTI-PLAYER MODES

PROS:
  • The missions are challenging the further you get into the game
  • Theres loads of stuff to do to have fun torturing (it does get more difficult to play around on higher levels because the Cops and swat teams start hunting you while your hunting the other bears.. so be careful)
  • You have all kinds of weapons to find and use ( knives, bats, sledge hammers, gun, "bear" traps (watch out cause you can get trapped yourself!) etc. )
  • There are ways around certain missions that if you gain enough points you get advanced on to the next board.
CONS:
  • This is only a  One player game but it does have MULTIPLAYER Modes so you can play online against other people.
  • If you die, you have to go back to the beginning which sucks really bad.. but it doesn't take long to get back though once you know all the ins and outs of the lower level boards.

Other than that I recommend this game for anyone at any age. My baby brothers like it, my teenage cousins, all the way up to my parents age.

(Disclaimer: I am the mother of this Zombie kid and he is fully aware of the difference between games and real life. He is talked to everyday about things of this nature. Just remember that us adults playing "Cowboys and Indians" with guns and knives is not much different than playing with guns and bears or guns and zombies. Probably better because they are at least killing fictional characters instead of a real life enemy. Thank you )
